    both online and off

hmmm wow… thats a difficult one though

  2. MarilyneL Says:

that brings me back to my philosophy class which opposed communism to liberalism…lol

    a community is:
    – a sense of belonging
    – share the same thoughts, values and goals
    – mutual help
    – friendships
    – FUN!

  3. Emma-Lu Says:

Well for both online and offline:

    – a solid support network
    – People you can trust and rely
    – Feeling safe to be completely yourself in that community
    – and I agree with MarilyneL – people who share the same value system

A good community is one that believes in the virtue of sleep.

And food. Can’t forget about the food.

    Sleeeeeeep. Fooooood.

A good community has alot of respect. Everyone’s opinions matter aNd are heard. I agree with emma’s idea of a support system & marilyne’s idea of a sense of belonging. Fun is always a great factor!

  6. Auntie Kailin Says:

I agree with everyone here, especially Kathy, but I don’t know to get everyone to sleep more, though, when you have such riveting and fascinating blog subjects that keep anyone from leaving this website! (Oh, that’s what I mean about an online community – a website that gets everyone feeling as though they matter 🙂

  7. Ashley Nguyen Says:

A good community is one that consists of people who respect each other, cares about people on the inside, listen to each other, a community that accepts everyone, won’t have arguments about things, and basically is an organization where everyone can come together and relate to one another.

  8. Jenipher Says:

A good community consists of people who are open minded, being able to respect other people’s opinions and thoughts regarding any subject (so often as those opinions are not disrespectful, of course). Like Taylor said, their must be a cause and a purpose (very important!).

But what makes the community hold up the title of ‘good’ or even ‘great’ is the respect towards one anothers views, cultural beliefs, and so forth.

I truly agree with everyone here, and perhaps I’m only being redundant! 😛
